An Invitation to the Table

The purpose of An Invitation to the Table is to cultivate a visible unity in the Body of Christ that honors our diverse expressions while centering on our shared Savior. By breaking bread and praying together—from large-scale public squares to intimate cross-denominational gatherings—we seek to demonstrate a perfected witness so that the world may know the Father's love.

In necessariis unitas, in dubiis libertas, in omnibus caritas

The Mission

To labor for the fulfillment of Jesus’s prayer in John 17:13–23 by cultivating a visible unity in the Body of Christ. We facilitate shared prayer and communion through public demonstrations and intimate cross-denominational gatherings, fostering a brotherly love that transcends doctrine and style. [3, 4]

The Problem: A Fragmented Witness

Despite a shared Savior, the local Church often operates in isolated silos. This fragmentation dilutes our collective witness to the city. We lack a consistent “common table” where diverse traditions can pray and break bread together without compromising their unique identities.

The Solution: Public Witness & Relational Depth

We provide a neutral platform for the Church to move from “silos” to “shared space” through a two-pillar strategy:

  1. Public Proclamation: High-visibility gatherings in the public square, such as Pioneer Square, to testify that Jesus was sent by the Father.
  2. Relational Foundation: Small, intentional gatherings for diverse pastors and leaders to build genuine brotherly love through conversation, prayer, and communion.

An Invitation to the Table @ Pioneer Courthouse

SAT, SEPT 19, 2026
Pioneer Courthouse Square (701 SW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97204)

We are seeking ten foundational partners to stand with us in the public square and sit with us at the relational table. We aren’t asking you to change your church; we’re asking you to bring your distinct tradition to the Table as a witness to our city.

One Table. One City. One Savior.

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, we are moving the family table into the heart of our city. In fulfillment of Jesus’ prayer in John 17:23, diverse traditions from across Portland will gather at Pioneer Courthouse Square for a historic afternoon of united prayer and communion.

Our goal is simple: to be perfected in unity so that our city may know that the Father sent the Son.Through July 2026: Secure our “Founding 10”, a core group of ten diverse partner churches committed to the vision of visible unity.

      What To Expect

Corporate Intercession: We will join our voices to pray for the peace, flourishing, and spiritual renewal of Portland.

Personal Prayer: Throughout the afternoon, members of our Unified Prayer Team will be available for one-on-one prayer. Whether you are carrying a personal burden, seeking healing, or simply need a brother or sister to stand in the gap with you, we invite you to come as you are.

The Lord’s Table: A public celebration of Communion led by our ten foundational
      partner churches.

        Partner With Us

We are currently building our “Founding 10” partner churches. If your congregation is called to
stand for the unity of the Body, we invite you to join us.

          2026 Strategic Roadmap

Our organization officially launches in 2026 with a phased approach to build lasting relational integrity: [7, 8]

          • Through July 2026: Secure our “Founding 10″—a core group of ten diverse partner churches committed to the vision of visible unity.
          • The Pilot Phase: Begin the first Small Table cohort with our three currently committed partners, inviting the remaining seven into the fellowship as they join.

September 19, 2026 (The Flagship Launch): Our official non-profit kickoff at Pioneer Square. This city-wide prayer and communion event will serve as a powerful proof-of-concept for our mission. [9]
